Data, licences and privacy
The atlas is built on open sources and clearly marks the confidence level of every record. Below we explain how we work with data and the law.
Where the data comes from
We build artist, album and scene profiles from publicly available editorial and encyclopedic sources, including the Polish Wikipedia and official artist and label pages. Every record includes links to its sources.
We do not invent facts. Where information is incomplete or uncertain, we mark it as Partial or Needs review and describe the doubt in a data quality note.
- Verifiedconfirmed in at least one reliable source
- Partialpartially confirmed, some fields still need completing
- Needs reviewneeds further verification
Licences and copyright
We do not host or embed copyrighted album covers. Instead we generate original, typographic placeholder sleeves from metadata. This keeps the atlas legally safe and visually consistent.
We do not include fabricated listening links. Streaming links appear only when they lead to legal, official sources. When no such link exists, we show a clear message instead of guessing an address.
Quotes and excerpts from source texts remain the property of their authors. The links in the “Sources” sections lead to the original materials.
Privacy
We respect your privacy. Theme and cookie consent preferences are stored locally in your browser. We do not send them to external servers without your consent.
We run analytics only after you give consent and limit them to anonymous usage statistics. We do not collect personally identifiable data. The “Jazz near me” feature uses your location only with your explicit permission and never stores it.
